Opt-x is an attempt to build a network monitoring tool completely out of PHP. Opt-X present abilties include, port monitoring, content monitoring, creating server groups, dynamic creation of a port list, tracking tasks, servers, vendors, and being able to log changes that occur to a server.

Present Features For The Network Monitor
- Port Monitoring
- Email Notifcation when a service goes down or comes up, and how long it was down for
- Intelligent checking to ensure port is actually down (Checks the port twice to ensure that the port is down, then the monitoring host checks it own connection to ensure itself is not down).
- Ability to display port numbers or representitive names on the monitor page. - Ability to Group servers.
- Create port and group lists dynamically.
- Basic content monitoring
- Content monitoring tests for a http 200 response, valid ending html tag, and finally the content you specify.
